ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE (ZLD)

project-image

Zero Liquid Discharge is a wastewater recycling process used to limit liquid waste. As the name indicates ‘Zero Liquid Discharge’ the aim is to remove all liquid waste from the system. The conventional way is to reach ZLD with thermal technologies such as evaporators like Multi Effect Evaporation (MEE), Mechanical Vapour Compression (MVC) and Agitated Thin Film Dryer(ATFD). Many Industries are considering ways to reduce their water discharges with Zero Liquid Discharge technology. Implementation of the ZLD system increases the cost of production, but water scarcity & strict norms are the key drivers for ZLD installations.
